Mrs. Jessica Marston

My name is Jessica Marston, and I have been teaching since 2009. Before joining the CTT family, I taught in the Smyrna School District. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (K–6), with a minor in Special Education (Grades 1–8), from Wilmington University in 2009, followed by a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Instruction in 2011.

Teaching history is a particular passion of mine, and in 2013, I was honored to be selected to serve on Delaware’s Social Studies Coalition Assessment Team. In 2015, I was also honored to be named Sunnyside Elementary Teacher of the Year for the Smyrna School District.

My favorite part of teaching is witnessing those exciting “lightbulb moments” when a new concept finally clicks for a student. Watching their confidence grow and seeing them discover what they are capable of is what inspires me each day.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love relaxing at the beach, making memories on trips to Disney World and the Pocono Mountains, enjoying family movie nights, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies!

I am incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and support I have received from the students, families, and staff at Christ the Teacher. I truly love being part of this inclusive community rooted in faith, love, and a commitment to helping our students grow.
