Ms. Hebe Carolina De La Iglesia

I am a native Spanish teacher from Argentina. I became a teacher after discovering how much I enjoy seeing students learn my native language and experience the joy of communicating in another language. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, a specialization in Graphic Design, and a Master’s degree in Communication. Although my career was mainly in advertising for many years, I have also taught Design at the university level and Spanish at the high school level.

My three children and my pets are my favorite people in the world. I love skiing, scuba diving, practicing yoga, playing field hockey, traveling, and listening to Argentine music. Something unique about me is that I have lived in three different countries and have friends in more than ten countries around the world.

What I enjoy most about teaching Spanish is seeing how learning a second language helps students develop skills in their brains that will benefit them throughout their lives, even if they do not use the language every day. I love being part of the CTTCS community because of its beautiful sense of community and the way Catholic values help educate students with purpose and meaning.
