Mrs. Christine Zimmerman

I am honored and blessed to be the school nurse at CTT for the past 24 years.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Villanova University, a Master’s degree in Medical Surgical Nursing from the University of Michigan and I am a Nationally Certified School Nurse. I have received the honor of being named the Delaware School Nurse of the Year and the National Private and Parochial School Nurse of the Year in 2016.  The best part of being with CTT is the community feeling.  While I am not in school taking care of students and staff,  I enjoy running, reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my family.  A fun fact is I climbed and almost got blown off the Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye.

I am very proud to be your child’s school nurse at CTTCS. I’ve been here since the school opened in 2002.
 
My philosophy as a school nurse is to work closely with the student, teacher, and family. My practice goes with your children; I am in the classrooms teaching them nutrition, hygiene, germs, puberty, and CPR, etc. I’m also a coach for Girls on the Run.
 
I have a BSN degree from Villanova University and a MS degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing from the University of Michigan. I am a Nationally Certified School Nurse and a CPR Instructor through the American Heart Association. In 2016 I was named the National Private and Parochial School Nurse of the Year and received the Delaware School Nurse of the Year award.
 
My prior nursing experience includes hospital, home health, education, and wellness. My door is always open if you have any questions or concerns regarding the health of your child. Please stop in!
